With unparalleled sound, attention to detail, and craftsmanship, the MF65 is an instant classic, combining State of the Art technology with a completely original and innovative design, the MF65 sets a new standard for High End ribbon microphones.
We have created a microphone with the bottom end response ruler flat down to 20 Hz (-0.43 dB) and the most extended high frequency response ever seen in figure eight ribbon, exceeding well beyond 25 kHz. For an unprecedented top end and balanced frequency response, the company’s owner and chief engineer, Dr. Mark Fouxman, has created one of the most advanced motors with the shortest front-to-back path ever seen in a ribbon microphone. For design efficiency the motor is an extension of the main body, integrating the two into one cohesive structure
For such a unique approach, only precision machining can achieve the tight tolerances required for the MF65's innovative design. All the parts are fabricated in house using State of the Art CNC machines. The body, top and bottom caps fit seamlessly for a streamlined appearance. The extreme attention to detail is apparent from the first glance.
The MF65 includes a mechanism for fine ribbon adjustment with consistency, offering the highest possible performance. The top quality toroidal transformers were designed and tuned specifically for this particular model and are made in-house.
The MF65 is a precision instrument of uncompromised craftsmanship with the utmost attention paid to every detail both sonic and cosmetic. Its very tight manufacturing tolerances ensure the highest level of performance and uniformity from unit to unit. The MF65 tonal balance combines vintage vibe with modern sound, creating a unique recording tool. It excels on piano, brass instruments, drum overheads, acoustic and electric guitars, choir, violin, voice, and as a room microphone, among other applications.
It is sold with lifetime parts-2-year ribbon replacement warranty.

A stainless steel shock-mount is an integral part of the Samar MF65, however, it can be removed if two microphones are to be used in a Blumlein pair. Samar's Blumlein shock-mount (available as an additional accessory) is specifically designed to hold two MF65s with an indexing fixture using stainless steel thumb screws, locking both microphones with precision and high repeatability. This essentially turns a pair of Samar MF65s into a stereo microphone, for more versatility.
Both stock and Blumlein shock mounts provide secure mounting, while yielding a very high degree of decoupling, as the microphone is supported only with two pinpoints—an approach never before seen in the commercial microphone industry.
The Samar MF65 is presented in a beautiful hand-crafted storage box made of curly maple with walnut accents. Instead of usual foam, which deteriorates with time the box is lined with piano grade felt, securely clamping the microphone in place.
There are two options for the storage boxes:
1 - To fit a single microphone
2 - To fit a stereo pair with Blumlein shock mount
